Tom Selleck left a $2,020 tip on a $200 bill for the servers at Elio’s restaurant in New York City as part of the 2020 Tip Challenge.
On Wednesday night, Wahlberg posted photos of Selleck’s tip and the note he left the server.
Wahlberg noted that he did not start the challenge, but he is proud to be a part of it. The social media challenge actually started earlier this year in Michigan when a server received a $2,020 tip on a $23 bill.
The challenge has been accepted by many celebrities as well as non-celebrities who give as much as they can to help those in the service industry.

In the best of times, service industry workers are typically paid below the minimum wage and rely on tips to make up the difference. Now, those still working in an industry battered by the pandemic are struggling more than ever.
